The kitchen on the Web from the point Omnia Riudoms
Speaking with George Barrett, leader of the Omnia Riudoms Point, explains how something as ancient as the kitchen can serve to introduce our users in the social aspect of ICT:
"The choice of theme is that everyone takes it as a recipe, and we are all able to understand and reproduce them because its structure is pretty standard.
Through the portal Receptes.org work over the use of social technologies on the basis of personal interests (publishing their own recipes) to become part of a social network (sharing knowledge of cooking).
The site is especially designed for users with similar levels to the point that we have, and is a form comprehensible to enter into the world of blogs and social networks with a common, as are the recipes.
Assuming that, Everybody, everybody, we have put some time in the kitchen (apart from those they love to cook) to start searching for recipes portal, so we work on information retrieval, while we are familiar with the virtual space.
Then we step 2.0 to create our own recipes blog where we operate the individual need to publish and have ordered our material.

As we can see, filling the content we make sense of ICT in learning that develops in the PO and at the same time, citizenship applies its expertise in "their" reality discovering a world of possibilities through ICT.
Currently, the PO Riudoms we have a weekly group that works using ICT Receptes.org and on the other hand, can continue their activity through their flat to Facebook or Twitter , which gives an informative meaning and information within the network.
