Omnia Network Community
In 1999 the project was born Omnia to get to serve people and the revitalization of the community, bringing ICT to the citizens and ensuring combat the digital divide. They spent many years working with and for the community, who have made the Omnia a social inclusion program today, very consolidated.
One of the main program is community work and as the Day of Social Internet in 2009 was given the starting signal for a diagnosis or analysis of how it is working and how they could improve from its 10 year history, establishing a new emphasis on community challenges and real impact on citizens.
This year we can say that the Omnia Network has 96 points and community, working with 586 organizations linked to the program throughout the Catalan territory, which shows the territorial growth and enrichment.
This has been possible thanks to the efforts of the driving force people who have gone over the years by the program, and working as part of this network, making it grow with your involvement and appreciate every day.
The community work thus becomes key to keeping alive and united a network as large as the Omnia Network, where people driving force, users, organizations, services and other programs related to territory, participated together with one purpose: social inclusion through ICT.
In this regard we offer then the presentation of Omnia Network Community, which frames the program within the context of community work. What does community work, why, as is done from the Omnia Network, and has worked with other plans and programs across the region, good practices from the Omnia points, etc., are aspects that are reflected in this presentation with the goal of reducing distances to group people and pool resources and efforts to become a network united, inclusive and visible to the community.
